Construction Valued High School

My high school's entire football field and bleachers have been torn down and is just a big pile of dirt right now. I should take a pic some time before it starts to look like the new track and field.

Under Construction Daily

My college campus is also at the beginning stages of building a brand new Division I style football stadium to accomodate our "higher" status in collge athletics.

Room Findings

I have been cleaning up my room a bit more the past two or so hours and found some old stuff. First, I found some badminton sign up sheet for some Santa Cruz trip, which I had no recollection of until I thought a bit longer and now I think I remember being there with the coach and some of the people listed on the paper. Without this piece of paper, I probably would have totally forgot about it. But now, I think it's time to recycle it, haha.

I also found my high school transcript laying around. Wow, my HS transcript and my college transcript looks so different! The numbers are so much more consistent on my HS one. Underneath that was a printout of the poem I wrote to Carol a long ass time ago that was published in a book. Such sappiness!

What's really funny is this printout of NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye, where the gang (Tom, Nick, Gerald, Jerry, etc) and I were writing up a choreography to actually do a video. That would have been such an embarrasing video to show up on youtube.

And just now I found some notebook where my brother has specific WarCraft III strategies written out.

Oh, an envelope with a letter from JoEllen back in 1999. A 7 year old letter! That's almost ancient history. Craziness.

Back to the Bay

I'm back in CV, and now my room is a complete mess with all the junk I brought back. I'm also starting to go through a whole bunch of four year old stuff, since my room hasn't changed much since high school. I wonder what kind of stuff I'll find..

I saw Snakes on a Plane, and I thought it was hilarious. It's definitely a movie to see just for entertainment. If you want to see an Oscar winning film, look elsewhere.

Dell Notebook Battery Recall

Some of you may have seen the youtube video or yesterday's news, but some may have not. If not then go here to see if your Dell notebook battery needs to be replaced or not. Don't have a Dell for you laptop? Well, you may still be affected because Sony is the supplier of the battery cells encased inside the Dell batteries, so your notebook may still be using the same faulty piece of shit from Sony. Seriously, screw Sony, all the stuff I have that are branded with Sony has been breaking. This may be off on a tangent, but if you happen to get your hands on a PS3, sell that piece of shit on Ebay, because it'll likely break. I think the only Sony product that can't go wrong are their TVs, and that's about it.

75% Packed

25% to go before I move all my shit back to the Bay Area on Saturday.

I finally stopped procrastinating and started to pack and clean up a bit. Somehow, I have accumulated a lot of junk over the past four years.

Officially Graduated

I finally got the result of the last class I had to take during Summer Session I. It was also the one class that I had failed in my college career. I will still forever dislike plants to a degree, but I managed to pass the class with a B this time around. With that, I officially have my B.S. degree in Biological Sciences emphasizing in Microbiology. And my emphasis in the Microbiology part is Microbial Diversity and Ecology. emphasis of an emphasis.

IE7 Beta 3

Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 is so far a winner. Firesux can take a hike.

Here is the cheap way to fix any issues in your apartment wall before moving out to try to salvage some security deposit dollars. I used toothpaste!

Did I mention all you can eat sushi for 10-12 bucks?! Yeah, it's that cheap and great. At some random sushi joints, a roll itself already costs 6-10 dollars.

Getting Packed

I am going to have to move out of Davis in less than a month, and I already feel like I'm going to miss this place.
  • the best sushi buffet in town, Fuji's
  • living away from home
  • oyster clay pot and lunch specials from from Jade Garden
  • cantina's and the other bars
  • late night showers
  • the arc
  • friends who haven't graduated yet
  • swimming and the spa right there outside my apt
  • eggplant and curry noodle soup at sophie's
  • and I'm sure there will be more I'll remember when I really leave
