Everyone in the apartment must be lazy. We had a whole stash of plastic utensils along with our few metal utensils, and now all the plastic ones are almost all used up. haha

Save Reunion!

FOX is doing it again. Those fucking execs think it's time to cancel the show, when the show is barely even reaching its climax, yet addicting as heck. To me, Reunion is many times better than The OC this season. The OC....I dunno, it has just gotten really stale and boring. It's like the OC has no point in watching it, whereas Reunion has a very distinct plot. Heck, I think the OC are losing viewership because more people are watching that annoying Laguna Beach show. Anyway, it's goddamn annoying that American networks like FOX don't give a shit about their viewers, but only care about money. I guess that's America for you. It's all about the money. It also really bothers me that the show is so well written, but it won't get to be ended properly, since it is currently slated to end 9 years (episodes) before the final episode. And...why? Why did FOX decide to place this show in the timeslot that a certain show by the name of CSI has DOMINATED the past few years. It's like FOX was asking for the show to get poor ratings. Reunion still managed to bring in millions of viewers each week. What about all of us who watch the fucking show, enjoy it, and don't want it to be cut short before the entire mystery is revealed? Clearly, they don't give a shit about their viewers. Maybe the Reunion writers need to put in a Cingular number you can text in to vote on what Amanda Righetti wears for the next episode or something.

I'll say this once more. I hate plants so much, I could burn down a forest! (not that I'd actually do it, but that's how I feel.)

In other news. Check this out: Copperfield

Hot damn, it is only the 5th episode, and the plot twist was soo crazy. I give big props to the writers on that one, very slick.

My Neck...My Back...err oh

My neck and back has been hurting mucho all day. I wish I had a free pass to some spa for a nice massage. That would be gravy right about now.

I was meaning to post this a while ago, but never got around to it. I'm on the UCD IM Sports calendar for the month of November! Hah.

Plant Physiology

Plant Physiology, oh how I hate you. As far as I know right now, that is the only class I'm not doing too well in. Heck, the professor has even gone out of his way to email every student in the class that isn't doing well for a "special support group". I can't help but to think it's almost like riding in the short yellow school bus. Well yeah, I very much dislike plant biology because it's pretty damn boring.

UCD > #10 Cal Poly

We win. And the golden horseshoe remains at Davis for another year. SLO and Davis are now tied for first in the conference at 3-1.

And here's a "laugh track" article about Stanford where UCD is mentioned. Kinda funny that some other school chanted "UC Davis", but lost to them haha.

Jin Presents The Emcee's Proper?ganda

The Emcee's aka Jin's new album is out today. He clearly reinvents himself in this album. No more of that gimmick shit Ruff Ryders/Virgin wanted him to do. Straight hip-hop here. 5 out of 5 stars. And it also helps that the 16 year old DJ Golden Child, drops some nice beats for him.

Dead Meat

My schedule is nice, since I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off. However, it appears at least two of my classes will be really tough already and I still have another one of similar caliber starting on Monday. The freaking survey my bio professor gave out asked us questions about stem cells, but I personally have not read up about that, and it seemed like everyone else did. That was totally not reassuring. My push for med is dwindling already. In my plant biology class, the professor says that the course is best known across the entire nation, and getting an A+ in there is almost a guaranteed spot in graduate school in the plant bio field. That in itself was scary already. I have one more class later today, Human Sexuality, which thankfully isn't an upper division course, but should be interesting. And that class that starts Monday is some upper division Microbiology course. =\

UC Davis > Stanford

UC Davis wide receiver Blaise Smith celebrates after scoring the winning touchdown in the last minute to give UC Davis a 20-17 win over Stanford, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, in Stanford, Calif. (AP Photo/Paul Sakuma)

I was at the game and the Davis section was going crazy when we scored the touchdown to give us the lead with 8 seconds remaining. Despite our kicker missing 3 field goals and an extra point, it was an interesting game.

I guess the "big game" between Cal and Stanford will be a breeze for Cal this year haha.

Best stat (sucks for them):

After falling behind 17-0 midway through the second quarter, it seemed even more
unlikely, but the Aggies didn't give in and became the first non-Division I-A
team ever to beat Stanford.

Freaking Kotsay

Rob, Jerry, Buth and I went to the A's game today, and we got the Kotsay bobble head. The nachos grande was a tad too much, I don't think I want to get that ever again unless I'm splitting it with someone. The game pretty much sucked, since Mr. Bobble Head of the day decided to cause 2 errors that pretty much cost them the game. =\ He lucky that the Angels and Yankees both lost as well.

Congrats Jennifer and Andrew

I just got back from my cousin, Jennifer and her now husband's wedding, and I'm still wondering why I even drove the familia back home afterwards. At this very moment, I still feel a little bit of the alcohol from the open bar throughout the night, ha ha. Anyway, it was a great night, the wedding was nice, and the reception was excellent as well. There was only the slight sadness in the air that my aunt, her mom, was not able to be there physically, but definitely there spiritually. And again, congrats to the new happy couple, Jennifer and Andrew Boyden. Cheers!

Breyer's Ice Cream in the flavor of Snickers or Rocky Road is the bomb. (folks allergic to nuts need not try it out)

I've noticed that they have changed the milk cartons to use the twist cap like orange juice cartons have been using. I dropped a carton of milk and that twist cap got bashed in, so now it is not functioning like it is supposed to. If it was still the old fashioned way of opening it, it'd be all good! Damn it.

Why is Retarded

I have this 30 day trial for from Comcast, but I can't watch the Oakland A's game live simply cause it is on locally. That is pretty damn ridiculous cause it is shown on KICU, which is a channel that I DO NOT EVEN get in the Davis/Sacramento area Comcast network. If I was paying for that service I'd be pissed, and they can't give me shit cause I don't get the local station that it's being broadcasted on to begin with.

A's win again and my summer class is over.

Ok, so the spring-like doorstop on the door into my apartment is broken. I've been putting my extra cases of water there to prevent the doorknob from reaggravating the hole that had been repaired before. After a recent spillage of trash incident down there, I've moved all my water upstairs. Today, I discovered that not only is the doorknob hole been pushed in by the doorknob again, but there's a large hole that's been punctured a few feet below.... First of all, WHO THE FUCK needs to open the door so god damn forceful, or even need to open the door THAT WIDE. As far as I'm concerned, I open the door to it's 45 degree angle at the very most. Second, how the fuck was that other larger hole made... Someone in this house needs to do some explaining and pay up on the damages.

Carol's B-day Bash @ Club Milk

Wowowowow! If you were there, I think I know what you are thinking and you know what I'm thinking. It was grreeat. There was the drive down to the Palo Hills to pick up Jerry and Gerald, then from there to Berkeley to get Tom, followed by there to SF, and after all that, the reverse way all the way back to Davis. It was a necessary drive back because I have to study for a midterm tomorrow. I got back at around 4:30AM.

First of all, I really wish I can sell my then $1000 digital camera and get some money out of it to get a new smaller camera, but gdamn it, it's only worth like $200 now. It's not even worth it.

And here's a quick recap of the night. At the Palo Hills, it was the waiting game again with Jerry, so Gerald and I went to PW's and got some drinks. When Jerry was done applying his mascara, we headed to Tom's place in Bezerkeley and had some drinks there. Gerald drove us to the club. During the drive, that ounce or two or liquid ingested was really starting to kill my bladder. After circling the streets for parking for a while, we finally just parked in a parking lot. Jerry, who also had the same issue with the bladder about to explode, and I made our way over to McDonald's, but being how ghetto it was, we had to wait for some buzzer to go off before being able to open the door, and some guy went in first taking a crap that prolonged the excursion. All I will say is that it felt hella good when it was ridden from my body. Haha. In the club, there was the greetings, and hearty hug from the birthday girl, who I haven't seen for like 2 years! It's been a long time yippy. ;) And of course her and Marian were both still looking as hot as before. =) We got another drink at the bar, and that was also it for me, since it was time for me to start sobering up for that eventual drive back. On the dance floor, it was a lot of fun. Everyone was getting their freak on. At one point or another, the highlight of Carol and Mare making out was bliss...yes that was what I was thinking at the top of this blog. =D Only less than a month ago, I saw 3 Asian girls go at it, but damn seeing the girls I grew up with do it was another level. You go girls! Very hot. ~_o The party eventually came to a close. We said our good byes, and to top off the night, the pair gave us another show outside. Wooot

"you japanese are pimp" -some random black guy
"i'm chink" - gerald

Back across the bridge in Berkeley, we dropped by Jack in the Crack for some food. The Ciabatta is pretty damn good. They need to change all burger bread to that Ciabatta bread. Go try it if you haven't! After the dropoffs, I headed on back to Davis. The night was priceless. Now, I must go study some Bioenergetics.

The current set up. H Duff!

It's going to cost almost $15k next year just for rent for my brother and I living in Davis! And that's not counting $30-50 in utilities a month. =\

Toaster Oven Fire

Our toaster oven just caught on fire, while I was cooking a pizza. Jhermaine proceeded to baking soda it, while I went down and got ready to crack the glass to the fire extinguisher. Fortunately, the former was enough to put it out. What was surprising was the fire sprinkler thing in the kitchen didn't even go off and the smoke detector didn't go off as well. Now, it smells like a bbq up in here.

Nice and Cool

I wish I could sleep at night and do things at the same time because it's soooo much cooler. Right now, it's just perfect where the outside weather is not too cold, but just right. Earlier during the day, it was so damn hot, it was very difficult to do anything. Although, I am glad I resisted turning on the AC and tacking on another few bucks onto the electricity bill.

Harden pwnts Texas

I was at the game earlier tonight with the retardedman, who was back from Hawaii, and the folks of pound clan underscore xs.

This game was also probably the first baseball game I've watched through its duration this season, which is pretty much normal for me. I usually don't bother with the first half of the baseball season cause the A's seem to never do well during that stretch anyway, haha. Anyway, it was hard to believe that the Rangers are a powerhitting team with the most homeruns in the league this season so far, when Harden practically struck out like 10 of them within 4 innings. It was a great ball game, and the A's continue their hot play from before the All-Star break. Look out LA Angels of Anaheim, the Oakland Athletics of Alameda are aiming to topple you jackasses.

Game Ratings

Clinton calls for federal game regulation

^-- It's shit like that that makes me hate politicians dearly. F the Liebermans and the Clinton and the other morons trying to censor the hell out of games. It is amazing how censored America really is despite all the shit about freedom of "insert whatever here" written in our Constitution. It really doesn't matter what sort of rating they slap on the cover of a game. The kids still get it from their parents buying the damn game for them to begin with. The parents are the ones that are idiots. I mean heck...if they got the game thinking it was just some gory mature game like Doom 3, they will be easily treated with a mouthful of "fucking", "fuck", n*ggahs", etc coming right out of their home entertainment speakers from the game characters as their kids play the game within the first FIVE minutes! San Andreas, with its M rating regardless of the "unlockable" sex minigame, shouldn't even warrant an Adult Only rating. If anything, it should have gotten it for the high amounts of cursing and random killing of "virtual" people in the game by running them over, shooting them, punching them, kicking them, stabbing them, etc. in the first place. Now, they are saying a simple act of fucking human nature makes it Adult Only?? Puhlease.

Heck, if you take a look between basic cable European television and basic cable American television, it's clear that the American version is always censored in one way or another. Like for example...rap music videos in which the artist portrays scantily clad or nude people of their vision in their video are clearly uncensored in the other half of the world NOT known as America, but the opposite on American TV.

So if a damn sex minigame warrants an Adult Only label, why aren't movies with sex scenes of people making love and naked not considered in the NC-17 category? It's clear that Americans don't know what the hell they are doing as far as this stuff goes. They simply won't please everyone (the game designers portraying an art in the form of a game, the stupid parents raising hell over trivia shit, the moronic politicians who think they are doing the right thing, etc). Seriously though, on the subject of sex, sex is human nature, live with it. If we weren't civilized, we'd be like our primate counterparts, but instead of being mutually exclusive, I'd bet uncivilized humans lean toward the "spread your seeds as much as possible" type of mentality.

Ah, the Lovely Air Condition

The AC is a great invention for these times when the outside world is posting 100+ degrees. Now, I only wonder how much our electricity bill will be next month. We had an all time low last month because almost everyone was gone for a week.

I have my first midterm of the summer tomorrow. I understand what's going on in lecture, but when I was looking at the study guide questions and such, I had no idea what it was talking about. I hate it when professors do that shit.

War of the Worlds

Summer sessions began a few days ago. 8AM is quite the early time for a class, but so far I have managed. Jher, Willy and I went to see War of the Worlds tonite. I thought the movie was arite. If you want to see a suspenseful movie, it does a fairly good job of it. It was also funny at some points. Overall, I had to think about it a little after it was over to realize what happened. All I had to do was think of something simple within my major! Anyway, if you see the film and don't get it, let me know, and I'll tell you what's up. =)

nVIDIA GPU Unveiling/GeForce LAN 2.0

Yesterday, after a night of poker that went until 4AM, I headed down to SF at 7AM in the morning along with Jhermaine, Eric, and Stephen to nVidia's GeForce Lan 2.0. The event was held at Fort Mason Festival Pavilion. We were there mainly to get the new Battlefield 2 game for free by paying the entrance fee of $25, which was already half off what retail is selling today.

In addition to that, we received raffle tickets for a later prize giveaway and some other random free crap. We only brought our laptops, so we didn't do much of anything other than playing the older games. They probably served like 100 pound worth of Round Table pizza, which was pretty dope considering that RT is expensive stuff and also the best. The only thing I was annoyed by was the lack of diet type soda's. And to put into perspective, some of those people there probably need the reduced sugar simply from seeing how much damn sugar related shit they were consuming that day. Diabetes in the future much? (ok done with my random nutrition thought there)

Anyway, later that evening, all the big name execs of various game companies rolled in along with the press for the presentation of the unveiling of the next nvidia GPU, aptly named the GeForce 7800 GTX. And in a new move for them, the card is available today at all retail chains and online stores for any of you people with too much money. After that, there was a reception in the back with the live booths of the gpu in action. There was this one salad that was topped with a spicy piece of fish of some sort that was cooked on the outside and raw on the inside, which was damn good.

Then, it was finally time for some raffling of the prizes. Some of the new 7800s were given away as well as thousands of dollars in other stuff. We came out short handed in this first round of the raffle. After a while, the raffle was on again. After a good amount of waiting and waiting as my numbers weren't called, I finally got a win. I got a Logitech Z3e speaker set, Logitech MX518 mouse, and some sub~$20 steel mouse pad. Immediately following my win, Jhermaine won a new computer chasis from Antec. Then after a few more things, I won again, this time another mouse and steel mouse pad as mentioned above. And that was that.

I came out of that place with a total of around $280 of new stuff, RT pizza that I consumed/wasted about $20 worth, some drinks, a shirt or two, all of which costing me only $25 to go. It was a fun event other than the annoying, highly moronic and bratty kids that were at the LAN part of the event.

I will perhaps add some pics from this later when I'm back at davis where my camera cord is.

Summer Flicks

Batman Begins was an excellent movie. That batmobile kicked some ass.

Other movies I look forward to this summer include Mr. and Mrs. Smith (out right now), War of the Worlds, and Fantastic Four for now. Perhaps that one with Hilary Duff and Heather Locklear...the great combo that Hank would agree with.

F Ochem

Now...I remember why I don't cram crap before a test. I am so pissed right now that I was staring at one mechanism that was on my final, but while I was doing it, I did the first step wrong, and obviously from there on it's all messed up. I recalled something that had to be done, but I couldn't do it for the longest time because that first step mistake made it all out of whack. Now, I'm just extra pissed that I should have been able to get full points on that problem, but instead I'm probably looking at no points now. F'ing ricockulous. F ochem.

I think it broke 100 today

Wow...Organic Chemistry is really killing me. I may have to opt to take the summer course if, I don't happen to ace the final or something...

Memorial Day Weekend

I went home Saturday night and not much was happening until Jerry, Steph, and I headed out to Berkeley, met up with Tom and got a few drinks at Blake's. It was a pretty chill night. I guess since most people were already gone, since berkeley folks are on vacation now, and it was memorial day weekend as well. Also, we ran into a few people I knew from CV.

The next day, I went to the mall to check out the sales and ended up purchasing a pair of addidas shoes, a shirt and some new swimming trunks. On my way back, I saw Trish packing up or something, so I stopped by to say hi since I haven't seen her since the last time she was back from overseas. Back at home, my family had a bbq, ate, then around 10pm or so I headed up to Nick's place. A few of us got together to play some poker, and it did not end until about 3:30am. Then, equipped with a can of Full Throttle, I drove back to Davis, and got back around 5am. I actually stayed up until 9am before I went to sleep for 4 hours before getting up again. Jher and I went to shoot some hoops at some point. Then, we watched Hitch, which I thought was a pretty good movie. Though I happen to like most of Will Smith's movies.

I got in 12 laps at the pool today. And dang do I tan easy. I was only out there for about an hour to an hour and a half! Now, I must get back to this horrendous OChem stuff that I thought was fun before, but not too much anymore. Maybe it's just my professor.

I soo want to go swim a few laps right now, but there's a bunch of kids in there.

Playstation whatt???

I just wanted to bring to light some next-gen console stuff for the average consumer who may be wow'ed by Sony simply because of their bullshit. Yes, Sony hypes their Playstation like it's the best thing ever. Back in Playstation 2 unveiling days, they said it was capable of rendering Toy Story like graphics at real-time...Never happened as you can see from the shitty quality of games it produces right now. Now, with Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 announced, with both being very close as far as technical specs go. Sony comes out and says the Xbox 360 is just the Xbox 1.5?! You have got to be kidding me. If the next Xbox is just 1.5, the third Playstation is just 2.0. Playstation 2 was clearly a half-assed system that could have easily been dubbed Playstation 1.5, and IS in my book. At E3, Sony showed nothing playable cept concept computer graphics trailers of what they WANTED their games to look like. Microsoft on the other hand, had playable demos that were only running at 1/4 of the final system specs. All in all, it's pretty ridiculous that people will buy that Sony garbage cause of bullshit they pull out of their asses that make the average consume think it's the better option. Give me Halo, Rareware games, Forza Motorsport any day. And given Microsoft's track record of better products, I'd believe them more.

Plus, the new Playstation looks aethetically inferior to both the new Xbox and Nintendo systems to me.

HOTTTT! 94 Degrees Today!

I just realized something. I seem to have developed a taste in Simple Plan music. Well, not really a development, but I've always liked their singles. Then, when I was bored, I trolled around myspace. And normally, I would hate how the music or music videos play on people's profiles, but I came across this profile, and for once, the song caught my ears. After shooting her a message to get the song artist and title, it was none other than Simple Plan - Everytime.

Get $25 bux on me!

The Mind at 2AM

Have you ever wondered how life would be different if you did something differently? I have wondered what kind of a person I'd be if I had never moved from Oakland to Castro Valley. There would be so many things that would be different that I can't begin to imagine how one thing can change so much. For one, I would at least know that I would have had great friends in Oakland whom a few of which, Annie, Tommy, and Linda, have contacted me recently, or perhaps that's just one of millions of different scenarios that could easily happen. It would also mean I wouldn't have met the friends from CV directly, which had helped shape me into the person I am. The different environments could have also easily molded me into one person or another.

Another point in my life that I have also wondered how things would be different would be my freshman year at college in the dorms. How if I lived in a different building or with different roommates that I probably would have changed more than I probably did not. I really believe that the suite living style, as opposed to the normal door-to-door dorm, was a tad too isolated. Other things during my frosh year seem to also have clearly affected me in one way or another, and it's like I just couldn't do anything about it.

It's like I can go for my goals or what not, or try to achieve what I want, or try to change fate. I'm all for living the life and let whatever comes my way come. It's just that sometimes, I really wonder what could have been.

It could have been me going to class and enjoying it right now instead of dreading it.
It could have been 3 years, 2 months on the 23rd of this month.
It could have been UCB, UCLA instead of UCD.
It could have been not hiding.
It could have been a SB to remember.
It could have been a greater innocent yet hot middle school romance.
It could have been the best 2nd SB to remember.
It could have been nice to get to know some of you better.
It could have been nice to take it slower and make things right.
It could have been....

Here's more angry college student trolling... I just realized that my pass time to register for next fall is in 2 days, and as I was looking at what I needed to take, I only came out with 9 total units! That's 3 less than what I need to be a full time student. Why must these stupid upperdivision courses have to be worth so little, yet require so much work?! It's absurd. I can perhaps go ahead and cut my one summer session course out, but I'd rather do something productive for at least half of the summer. Hmm, now that I think about it, all the people who have had their pass times already got the opportunity to utilize this new experimental 17 unit maximum 1st Pass cap (up from 12 unit) and filled up all the damn english classes already. I remember last quarter none of the english classes were filled up until the 2nd Pass. I can already tell them that the new system sucks. I can't imagine how many garbage classes are left over for the freshman who don't get to register until later summer. Sucks for them. End angry college student poppycock.

And you, my friend, you know who you are, good luck at Cal!

Hahahah! <--- that is hilarious!

A Test of the Emergency Broadcast System

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

^-- why are all the questions animal related?!?

Hey, Don't Click That Link

There appears to be a virus that's making its rounds around AIM. I don't know if you can tell if you're infected, but I hope whoever receives an im from you informs you of the virus you have. Or perhaps you can diagnose yourself. Have you clicked a link from someone's message lately along the lines of "check this out, is that you?" where the word 'this' has a link, which appears to look like a legit url to a image website, but in fact, it points to a .exe or a .pij file extension? Well, if you clicked to open the file, then you are pretty much infected with the crap, and you'll be spreading the same exact im to everyone else on your buddy list.

I don't know what makes anyone even open random suspicious links to .exe or some unknown file type. Next time you happen to get some random IM from someone you barely talk to, watch out what you're clicking cause it may very well not be so healthy for your computer. If it's from someone who usually sends you links, well do people usually go through the trouble of masking the link behind a word? I highly doubt it. They usually would just straight up paste you the entire url, but even in that case, make sure when you hover over the link that it is the same one.

Anyway, that's my lesson for the day. Remember to protect yourself. ;)

XBOX 360!

O M G! <--- the preview of the Xbox 360 before the MTV thing.

Here's a list of things I should do:
  • More gym time and more basketball. must get in shape
  • Go to the rest of my classes, and as Margret pointed out as an incentive, "it's skirt season"
  • Kick it with the friends I haven't seen or talked to since 3rd grade
  • Start throwing extra cash into a box for Xbox 360 fund
  • ...and that's all for now.

Xbox 360

Xbox 360 officially unveiled tonight at 9:30PM (might be 6:30PM for PST, but i dunno most likely at 9:30) on MTV! That machine is a beast.

Emerald of California

Emerald Nuts are pretty damn good. Right now, I'm liking it more than the famed Planter's brand. I also wanted to mention that Psychonauts is an excellent game.

UC Davis Summer Registration

It's freaking 6:30AM now, and I'm trying to log in to register for a summer class. However, I can't. At first I couldn't get by the initial login, but I eventually got by that. Then comes a secondary login, which I currently cannot get by at the moment. It's as if they are using some cheap, old Apple IIe or 486/DX 50Mhz's to run the damn server it's so slow. It's as if they didn't plan on the thousands, probably upwards of 10,000 people hammering the site as soon as it hit 6AM. What the hell are they teaching their computer science majors or networking kids? This is a very simple matter, and shit, haven't they been doing this since whenever they started doing registrations online? I woke up this early for no reason, but to get frustrated by their incompetence.

Nice Run Rockets

It was quite an ugly game 7, but it's ok. Though it would have been nice to see Stan Van Gundy vs Jeff Van Gundy, Shaq vs Yao, T-Mac vs D-Wade.

Road Rage

Fuck the people clogging up 80 to go to SF at fuckin 1pm and making me sit through an hour of that shit when I just wanted to get to either the 580 or 880 junction, which was completely clear, and made me miss my haircut appointment. And also a big fuck you to the person in the white truck who was getting on 580 from Strollbridge (or whatever it is called) when I was cutting into the exit lane. The fucker didn't bother to slow down when I was clearly cutting in at a higher speed. He even decided to speed up also, and if I didn't swerve back to the other lane he fucking would have hit me in the behind. Next thing I do is look in my rear view mirror, and it looked like he was yelling, so I gave him the finger. Yeah, FUCK YOU, you fucking piece of trash. Bah.

The weather and stuff

It's been a few days. The weather is nice and all, but all that pollen up in the air is all bad. It has caused me to stay indoors even more than I used to. Right now, I'm craving some acai supercharger from JJ. The Kings are out, big surprise... Hopefully, the Rockets will pull off a win to at least make it to a 7th game. The A's need a damn win streak, but I guess that's kinda hard when Zito still sucks.

I am really tired of school. There is still so much crap to think about. Do I want to apply for a med school? Should I start studying for that pesky MCAT? What do I need to take in order to graduate next year? What do I want to eat tomorrow night? When will that right girl show up? Should I go to class tomorrow and risk getting my eyes irritated and an annoying runny nose? Ahhh.

More Jamba Juice Plugs

Acai Supercharger is damn good and well worth the extra few cents that makes it the most expensive drink on the menu.

Poker Palooza

Yesterday, I had a ochem midterm that I seem to have been owned by. Then, around 5:30pm I went over to the ARC, and signed into the first ever intramural poker tournament. When it started, I had all intentions of creating a large stack or go home mentality much like TNT's "win or go home" slogan for the NBA playoffs. Anyway, I indeed made short work of two victims on my first table and tripled up. That was within the first 20 minutes or so. Then, it just dragged on for nearly 4 hours and by then I had built up a sizeable stack of chips by slowly chipping away at everyone as well as KO'ing a few more people in all-in situations. After another hour, my play had significantly slowed down due to the lack of food, tiredness, and my back hurting from all the sitting. Another hour later, with only 5 remaining tables of 7 or so people, I was looking at 4% chance of a flush with 2 remaining cards to be seen, and I just called the all-in. As I suspected, I didn't get the draw. By that time, it was already 6 hours into the tournament, and I just simply didn't have the patience anymore and lost the rest of my chips and went home. It sucks to have gone that far into the damn tournament and not getting much of anything out of it. Only the top 8 in the final table received a banner and what appeared to be a nice set of poker cards and only the champion got their mug on the imsports wall of fame + champ tshirt. In the end, I thought it was fun. I really don't know how the poker professionals do it at the WSOP playing DAYS on end of that shit to get to the final table. Those 6 hours I wasted, I probably could have easily won a few hundred bucks in some low-limit online poker tables. (In fact, my current earnings for online poker is ~$210.) Anyway, it was a fun learning experience of how tiring a poker tournament can be. I will definitely be more ready for it next year.

Btw, for the costume contest, some guy wore some short ass shorts and a tuxedo shirt. I'm sorry, but that was quite gay.

I'm amazed how people actually spend the time to spunk up and way overdo their myspace webpages. Wallpapers, crazy color combos (pink and green?!), music videos, a million quiz/test results, and did I mention the million different colors of text and background?! Wow.

Thursday, April 28, 2005

The Rockets ended up losing. That...sucked. Anyway, I must get back to studying this organic chemistry stuff. Carboxylic acids, alkanoyl halides, anhydrides, esters, amides, nitriles, oh my!

I took some non-drowsy claritin before going to school today. When I got back from school I took a nap for a good 2-3 hours.... And that crap costs around 20 bux!

There was an asian girl that was really hot that got off the bus. She was wearing one of those short abercrombie skirts and a nice top bearing her nicely tanned back. Then, the bus I was on left. =P

TVB: My Family

If you're into the HK dramas/shows, My Family is recommended. I found the brother, brother, girl love triangle interesting. And in some ways, reminiscent...only the genders were swapped. Oh, and also, Shirley Yeung was cute.

The Happy Birthday Song

After class today, I was walking through the quad area, and a small group of people were singing the happy birthday song to someone. I dunno it sounded very...unenthusiastic? After the song it was an even more unenthusiastic cheer. And I was thinking how the song itself has gotten very boring, and yet people still use it almost religiously. The tune itself seems to be standard throughout many different cultures as well. I'm surprised no one has come up with a more catchy and newer way to sing the song of the celebration of someone's birthday. I guess some things won't ever change, heh.

Go Rockets!

After two midterms, I took it upon myself to sleep in later than I usually do. Then, I got up and watched the Houston vs Dallas game where T-Mac was tearing it up in the first half. It would be really nice to see them be the sleeper team to win the west. I'm tired of all that Phoenix, San Antonio, and Seattle bullshit. After the game, Jhermaine and I went out and shot some hoops and ended up playing these young kids. Damn, they had way too much energy in them, haha. At first we just shot the ball because we were just plain tired, perhaps from old age, though more likely from being out of shape. Anyway, when we were down a few points, we decided it was embarrasing to be losing to them, so we just did things the easy way and took it to the hole. That was about it

Papa Murphy's

Jhermaine, Kristen and I had the chicken garlic pizza from Papa Murphy's tonight. It was pretty good for a pizza you have to bake yourself. It's also nicely priced, so that's good also. Though, in the end, the chicken garlic pizza from Round Table still wins hands down.

Study Study Study

I was freaking on campus from 10:30AM to 9PM yesterday!! I think that's the longest I've ever been on campus my entire college career. At least, I got some studying done, and I should be ahead of schedule now with 1 and 2 days left before my first midterms of this quarter. Anyway, I shall go watch Desperate Housewives or OTH before I hit the studying again.

Oh yeah, remember how I said having music on your website is annoying? Well having a music video on a personal site is even more annoying. That is all.

I was just browsing around my collection of pics from senior year of high school. Good times, good times... And damn, it also made me want to really get back in shape, lol.

In Another Time

Unknown Artist (Song from Shades of Truth)

You and I were never meant to be together
And now it's time for me to go
But deep in my heart
You will always stay forever in another place
In another time

So walk with me and let me hold you close
And we will share this last memory
And dream about our love
And what it means
To love someone enough
To set them free

In another place
In another time
In the space between any reason are right (?? or ride ??)
Someday we'll have it all
And our love will shine
In another place
In another time
You will always be the one on my mind

In another place...
In another time
In another place
In another time

It's picnic day here in Davis, and pretty much most of the college folks here have an excuse to get crunk in the middle of the day instead of at night, haha. For me, I was too lazy to wake up at freakin' 7 in the morning for it. Plus, I have two midterms next week that are both essentially memorizing a large amount of information, which I really need to start studying diligently for. One of them, my systematic physiology class, has nearly half a quarter's worth of information, and it has only been one and a half weeks into this new quarter! And on top of that, I'm a tad behind on my organic chemistry class as well. =( My four hour gaps next week will probably and hopefully be spent in the library getting myself ready.

Happy Birthday Meesh!!

Matcha Green Tea Blast

Next time you're at Jamba Juice, get a Matcha Green Tea Blast, it is pretty good and add an immunity boost to double the green tea antioxidants. I suggest the smaller 16oz size for this one just cause it might be a tad on the sweeter side and overwhelm you after a while.

That Pepsi Girl

Hey, it seems like that hot half Japanese, half American Pepsi/Itunes girl (Mandy Amano) from that one Super Bowl commercial is starting to get a bit more famous from being on TV for like 10 seconds! Crazy. But yeah, I admit that she was the only inspiration to that commercial. Someone even made a blog that is dedicated to her. She's gonna be in the May issue of Maxim. Here's a pic

Stacked was hilarious! Even though Pamela Anderson is person chosen to promote the show, the performances of the other main characters including Christopher Lloyd from "Back to the Future" were excellent. The funniest scene for the pilot episode would probably be the one with the kid staring at Skyler's boobies, haha. Hilarious stuff.

Lol, I just noticed that I spelled construction wrong up on the header image. =)

It really sucks that my classes are separated by a 4 hour gap four out of the five days, which has caused me to not feel like going to my second class because all the notes are already online and such. I should probably get it together some time soon before the first round of midterms. =\

Speaking of Nutrition

On my way to my nutrition class today, I came across this article printed in The California Aggie and easily agreed with exactly what the author pointed out. In fact, I think politicians of this country are a little too self-absorbed in their own beliefs of what's right and what's wrong. This includes things like violence in video games and sex. Come on, with all the censorship that goes on in this country, it's like daring people to go the distance to obtain it.

Fact of the Day: The body requires 9 essential amino acids that it cannot make. The best food that provides all 9 of those eaa's is human breast milk, but luckily egg proteins are right behind it in that department in providing all the necessary eaa's. These are the two complete AND perfect proteins. Funny thing is, chicken isn't a perfect protein even though it comes from the egg. haha.

It has been a long time coming, eh? I'm bringing back the good old blogger, but don't fret, will remain intact (not like anyone has been going there lately anyway) and updated with the normal gibberish of links and random garbage for the general public that won't find its way here. In fact, it may eventually change its face to sport something new that I currently do not want to get into or have the time to deal with. In any case, my blog is back, and I hope to keep this updated like it once used to be.

It has been more than a full year since my last blog judging from the last post listed below. As of now, the layout is not very functional, which will either mean it'll be fixed or not, or further simplified to just the posts. Anyway, I was going through some old posts and read some interesting things I forgot about and some things that reminded me of what seemed to be a happy time for me. Ah well, it's the past.

Let's see if I can keep this up!

***24 Spoiler Alert***

Today's episode was ok compared to last week's exciting episode involving a stealth fighter and air force one. In today's "hour", these two civilians that found the nulear "football", I thought, were stupid. The guy with one half of the device was caught, and the terrorists were shooting him to get him to talk, and the wife was watching and just broke down and surrendered the other half giving control of all the US nukes to the terrorists. I mean geezus... she practically traded a nuke to the terrorists hoping they would spare their lives (which they didn't if it were not for Jack). I understand it would be hard to see a loved one getting tortured or perhaps killed, but thinking terrorists would have simpathy is pretty damn retarded. Plus, she gave them something that would get themselves killed and ultimately the nation getting nuked... Bauer should have slapped talked some sense in that woman for being dumb.
